Lightweight, safe and impervious to corrosion
Retrofit directly into existing frames/rebates: no breaking concreteAn increasing number of water and wastewater facilities are choosing to replace their heavy metal and concrete covers (including cast iron recess with concrete infill) with our lightweight retrofit FRP composite trench and manhole covers, especially in locations where there are manual handling concerns. Custom colors, load ratings, branding and securing systems are also available.
Fibrelite covers have an unrivaled strength-to-weight ratio and provide the same load-bearing performance as their conventional counterparts, allowing safe manual removal at all load ratings.
Fibrelite FRP composite trench or manhole cover have an inherent resistance to corrosive compounds. This makes them ideal for the water and wastewater environment.
Following demand for Radio Frequency (RF) friendly manhole covers, Fibrelite developed a range of FRP composite manhole covers, specifically designed (and independently tested) to support data transfer between antennas underground and aboveground, e.g. belowground 5G and Wi-Fi, remote underground monitoring systems/telematics in utilities for monitoring and/or control of oil/water usage, sewer flow, floodwater and similar (read the press release).
